This book is, as the title states, an exhaustive study of Jesus from a psychological point of view. In the first chapter the physical personality of Jesus is dealt with and the various representations of Him as depicted by pictorial art. 'Jesus in Literature' the longest of the eleven chapters, begins with the Apocrypha and mediaeval literature. As ambassadors and imitators of Christ, we should reflect Jesus’ compassion on those experiencing pain and crisis (Matt ). This course helps to establish both practical and spiritual foundations for those serving Christ by ministering to humanity in times of crisis, whether that be across the globe or across the backyard.

Jesus was SERIOUS and FOCUSED. He had a mission in life and never got sidetracked from it, knowing the weightiness of it and the shortness of time. His attitude was that of a SERVANT. He “did not come to be served, but to serve” (Mark ). KINDNESS and SELFLESSNESS characterized His personality. Jesus was SUBMISSIVE to His Father’s. The Light of Christ provides an accessible presentation of Catholicism that is grounded in traditional theology, but engaged with a host of contemporary questions or objections. Inspired by the theologies of Irenaeus, Thomas Aquinas and John Henry Newman, and rooted in a post-Vatican II context, Fr. Thomas Joseph White presents major doctrines of the Christian religion .
